What tallow sunscreen is
A tallow sunscreen is a mineral sunscreen — protected by zinc oxide — built on a base of grass-fed beef tallow instead of water or synthetic emulsifiers. The zinc does the sun protection; the tallow is the nourishing carrier.
Important: tallow itself is not a sunscreen

A tallow base shines on dry, normal, and barrier-compromised skin. It is also occlusive, and dermatologists note that heavier, oil-rich formulas can clog pores for some people — so if you're very acne-prone or oily, patch-test first or choose a lighter option. Honest fit beats hype.
