Before she was a shoe designer, Joan Oloff was, and still is, a practicing foot and ankle surgeon and podiatrist. She runs her own clinic, Foot and Ankle Los Gatos, where she continues to care for women every day. She’s also a third-generation footwear maker, raised in a family where craftsmanship and care went hand in hand. After years of studying biomechanics, treating injuries, and hearing stories of pain caused by beautiful but unforgiving shoes, she knew a better insole wasn’t enough. We needed a better shoe, one that considers every tendon, joint, and curve of a woman’s foot. That knowledge is stitched into every pair we make, from office to aisle to evening out.
