Return & Refund Policy

At Casual Chic Shop, we want you to love what you order. If something isn't quite right, we're here to help make it right.


Quick Summary

  • 30-day return window from the date you receive your item
  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, with tags attached, and in original packaging

  • Refunds issued to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval
  • EU customers have an additional 14-day cancellation right

Return Eligibility

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return.

To be eligible, your item must be:

  • In the same condition you received it
  • Unworn, unwashed, and unused
  • With all original tags attached
  • In its original packaging
  • Accompanied by your receipt or proof of purchase (order number works)

Items returned without meeting these conditions may be rejected or subject to a restocking fee.


How to Start a Return

  1. Email us at team@getcasualchic.com with your order number and the reason for your return.
  2. Wait for approval. We'll respond within 1–2 business days with your return authorization and prepaid shipping label (where applicable), along with instructions on how and where to send your package.
  3. Ship it back using the label and instructions we provide.

Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted and cannot be refunded.

Return Shipping Costs

  • Defective, damaged, or incorrect items: We cover return shipping 100%.
  • Standard returns (change of mind, size, fit): We cover 100% return shipping on the first exchange.  Return fees may apply for returns or additional exchanges.
  • EU customers exercising the 14-day cooling-off right: You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective.

Damages, Defects & Wrong Items

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If your item is defective, damaged in transit, or you received the wrong product, contact us within 7 days of delivery at team@getcasualchic.com with:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the issue
  • A brief description

We'll evaluate the issue promptly and make it right — whether that means a replacement, a full refund (including shipping), or a store credit.


Exchanges

The fastest way to get the item you want is to:

  1. Return your original item following the process above
  2. Place a new order for the replacement item

This ensures your preferred size or style doesn't sell out while we process your return.


Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene, safety, and legal reasons, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Jewelry (pierced earrings, body jewelry, and items without intact hygiene seals)
  • Cosmetics and personal care items that have been opened or used
  • Fragrances that have been opened
  • Swimwear and undergarments — unless the hygiene liner/tag is fully intact and the item is unworn
  • Food and perishable items
  • Seasonal and holiday items
  • Clearance items
  • Custom, personalized, or made-to-order items (including special orders and monogrammed goods)
  • Gift cards
  • Items marked as "Final Sale"
  • Digital products and downloadable content
  • Any item marked non-returnable at the time of purchase

Regular Sale Items

Unlike Final Sale items, regular sale items may be returned within our standard 30-day window for any reason — including size, fit, or change of mind. Just reach out and we'll take care of you.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll send you an email confirming whether your refund has been approved.

If approved:

  • Your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days
  • Bank and credit card processing times vary — please allow an additional 3–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable, except in cases of our error (defective, damaged, or incorrect items)

If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your refund and you still don't see it, please contact us at team@getcasualchic.com and we'll investigate immediately.

Refund Methods

  • Credit/debit card purchases: Refunded to the original card
  • PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay: Refunded to the original account
  • Gift card purchases: Refunded as store credit
  • Partial refunds may be issued for items returned in less-than-new condition (e.g., missing tags, signs of wear)

European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If your merchandise is being shipped to an address within the European Union, you have the right, under EU consumer protection law, to cancel or return your order within 14 days of receiving it — for any reason and without justification.

Conditions:

  • The item must be in the same condition you received it — unworn, unused, with tags, and in original packaging
  • You must provide the receipt or proof of purchase
  • You are responsible for return shipping costs (unless the item is defective)
  • Refunds will be issued within 14 days of our receipt of the returned item

This right is in addition to — not a replacement for — our standard 30-day return policy.

UK Customers

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, UK customers have a similar 14-day right to cancel. The process above applies.


Late or Missing Returns

If you haven't heard from us 5 business days after shipping your return, please check your spam folder and then contact us at team@getcasualchic.com with your tracking number. We'll locate your package and get your refund processed.


Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you'll receive a gift credit for the value of the return once we receive the item. A gift certificate will be emailed to you.

If the item wasn't marked as a gift, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves first, we'll issue the refund to the original purchaser.
